the cat-mouse-cheese-column orchestra
solo exhibition 3/6-3/12, 2019
site-specific installation at Ellis Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA
The Cat-Mouse-Cheese-Column Orchestra is a sound/sculpture installation consisting of five sculptural instruments, generating sounds and movements through the motion of chase-and-escape derived from the cat-and-mouse scenario from classic cartoon animations. Instead of achieving an end, this work presents such narrative as a perpetual loop, a constant power exchange, and a coexistence of conflicts and codependence.
